As part of its global expansion, Starwood plans to open 50 new hotels in Europe, Africa and the Middle East by 2012. Momentum in Central and Eastern Europe accounts for nearly half of all new EAME projects. The Middle East and North Africa offer numerous opportunities, with multiple signings in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Libya, Madagascar and Mauritius. At the same time, the company continues to expand opportunistically in high profile destinations such as London, Paris, Barcelona and Milan.
